Roger Bilodeau is a native of Ste-Agathe, Manitoba (Canada). He has practiced law in Manitoba, New Brunswick and Ontario. He was also a professor of law at the Faculté de droit de l'Université de Moncton, in addition to having acted as an arbitrator in commercial and labor relations matters.
From 1999 to 2003, he had the privilege of serving as Deputy Attorney General and Deputy Minister of Justice for New Brunswick. In another capacity, he also acted as one of the senior counsel to the Commission of Inquiry into Air India Flight 182. From March 2009 to May 2020, he occupied the position of Registrar of the Supreme Court of Canada.
Since his retirement as Registrar of the Supreme Court of Canada, he works on a part-time basis as an arbitrator and as a legal consultant, in Canada and abroad.
